Este artigo sublinha, assim, um conjunto de influências fundamentais que contribuíram para moldar aquilo que entendemos por programas televisivos de realidade, nomeadamente, os movimentos artísticos do Realismo e do Naturalismo, a estética documental, o jornalismo sensacionalista, e o desenvolvimento da televisão enquanto indústria.Trying to answer reality-show’s problems of classification, this paper argues that, nevertheless reality-show’s constitutive multiplicity, diversity of formats and fluid nature, it is possible to delimit its general outlines as a television genre.
