Abstract(s)
The elaboration of this work carried out in an internship context was fundamental, both personally and professionally, for the experience gained in the telecommunication sector, most precisely in satellite telecommunications. The Eutelsat group is the European leader and one of the largest operators of telecommunications satellites worldwide. In the scope of its activity if provides a wide range of telecommunications broadcast services through its fleet of satellites, including television broadcast, Internet access and corporate communications networks. Taking an internship in this company and participating in the daily routines was a very enriching experience. One of the important aspects to refer, was the knowledge acquired during the internship through the familiarization of the materials used in the company where they essentially cover the range of radiofrequency. The present work consisted in the creation of a frequency divider, aiming at converting a signal with frequency of 10MHz to a signal with 5MHz. This shows the design of the frequency divider as well as its constituent elements. The design is simulated and using appropriate models for the components it is possible to predict the behavior of the output and consequent reduction of harmonics. In this way it is allowed to draw conclusions regarding to the values obtained experimentally.
