dc.description.abstractFrom the niche of curriculum studies (declaring from the beginning, the assumption of my involvement and commitment in one of the parts), this paper aims at discussing the not always peaceful relationship existing between the Curriculum, on the one hand, and the Didactics, on the other, in the context of Education. Retaking a discussion already started, from the revisiting of some authors who have been reflecting on convergences and divergences in this relationship, this paper is an attempt to define and delimit these two fields in their historical and epistemological routes, since their appearance as areas of knowledge, not necessarily scientific ones, their cultural traditions, overlaps and gaps, in order to concentrate later on the matter of power, in which educational institutions in Portugal are involved. The description of the case of the University of Madeira intends to illustrate the issues listed and discussed at the theoretical level.pt_PT
