| dc.description.abstract | Este artigo aborda a questão da consciência linguística através da etimologia de algumas palavras, cujo significado primordial em comparação com o seu valor semântico atual apresenta ironia verbal. O estudo do conhecimento das palavras e das relações semânticas existentes entre elas pretende aportar mais consciência linguística aos usuários da língua portuguesa, como é o caso do significado subjacente ao elemento de formação e/ou prefixo de negação in-. Ainda no que se refere à morfologia, abordamos também a questão do valor semântico dos elementos de formação e/ou sufixos -ência e –mento, na construção de nomes deverbais. Procuramos, assim, contribuir para uma maior consciência linguística (e humana), através do conhecimento das palavras, a sua formação e significado, mostrando a ironia presente na língua portuguesa, a nível lexical e semântico | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This article addresses the issue of linguistic awareness on the etymology of some words, whose original meaning, in comparison with their current value, presents verbal irony. This study on the awareness and on the semantic relationships between words aims at developing better linguistic awareness in users of the Portuguese language, as exemplified in the underlying meaning of the formation element and/or negative prefix in-. In what regards morphology, the issue of the semantic value of formation elements and/or suffixes -ência and -mento, in the building of deverbal names. This study therefore seeks to contribute to a greater linguistic (and human) awareness, through the awareness of words, word formation and word meaning, by revealing the irony in the Portuguese language at lexical and semantic levels. | pt_PT |
