Reavivar o Cinema, um projeto cultural para a Região Autónoma da Madeira assume-se
como um projeto de conclusão do Mestrado em Gestão Cultural. Pretende-se incentivar a
ida ao cinema como tradição cultural e estabelecer uma relação entre Cinema e Arquipélago
da Madeira, na medida em que se pretende contar a História do Cinema e a História do
Cinema no Arquipélago da Madeira, através de uma mostra de filmes, acompanhados de
uma discussão/tertúlia sobre os mesmos. A proposta descentralizadora consiste na
organização de doze eventos, financeiramente sustentáveis, onde cada evento se reporta
exclusivamente a cada uma das doze décadas do cinema. A periodicidade prevista será
mensal e decorrerá em cada um dos onze concelhos da Região. No final, terá lugar um evento
de encerramento. Em cada evento serão exibidas duas películas: uma representativa do
Cinema Internacional da década abordada, e outra relacionada com o Arquipélago da
Madeira, podendo ter sido protagonizada, realizada, produzida por madeirenses ou gravada
na Madeira. Decorrerá igualmente uma tertúlia com convidados com perfil adequado para
discutirem as obras exibidas e respetiva década. Procura-se desta forma contribuir para o
reavivar da dinâmica das idas ao cinema como experiência social cultural, invocando
igualmente a memória do Cinema, oferecendo uma solução alternativa aos desafios da
conjuntura atual.
Reavivar o Cinema, a cultural project for the autonomous region of Madeira is a final project for the master’s in cultural management. The project is intended to encourage cinema-going as a cultural tradition and establish a relationship between Cinema and Madeira island, as it’s intended to narrate the History of Cinema through films’ exhibitions while creating a relationship with Madeira, accompanied by a discussion about them. The proposal consists of organizing and promoting twelve financially sustainable events. Each event relates exclusively to each of the twelve decades of Cinema between 1895 and 2015. The periodicity will be monthly and will take place in each of the eleven municipalities of the Region. At the end, a closing event will take place. Two films will be shown at each event: one representative of a decade in the history of cinema and another related to the Madeira Archipelago. There will also be a gathering with guests with the right profile to discuss the films. In this way, we seek to contribute to reviving the dynamics of going to cinema, a fact that entails the collective sharing of experience, also invoking the memory of this art, and promote cinema-going as an alternative solution to the current challenging times.
