dc.description.abstractA compreensão emocional é a habilidade sociocognitiva de reconhecer as emoções, compreender as respostas às emoções dos outros e das situações emocionais, abarcando uma série de habilidades e compreensões relacionadas com a emoção, como a compreensão da relação entre emoções e outros estados mentais, conhecimento de estratégias de regulação das emoções e compreensão de respostas emocionais ambivalentes. Existindo evidências empíricas que apontam a compreensão emocional como um dos preditores do ajustamento social e de saúde mental, o estudo dos fatores que influenciam o desenvolvimento da compreensão emocional pode ser crítico para ajudar a criança no seu desenvolvimento saudável. Ao longo deste artigo identificaremos as fontes potencialmente importantes das diferenças individuais da compreensão emocional.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractEmotion understanding is an socio cognitive ability to recognize emotions, understand the answers of others’ emotions and emotional situations, covering a range of skills related to emotion, such as understanding the relationship between emotions and other mental states, knowledge strategies for regulating emotions and the understand of ambivalent emotional responses. Existing empirical evidence underlying emotion understanding as one of the predictors of social adjustment and mental health, the study of the factors influencing the development of emotion understanding can be critical to help children in their development. Throughout this article we will identify the potentially important sources of individual differences in emotion understanding.pt_PT
