A qualidade da relação estabelecida entre professor e aluno durante o processo de
ensino-aprendizagem é reconhecida como um dos principais fatores de maior impacto no
rendimento académico dos alunos, a que se junta a influência das relações com os
pais/cuidadores ou com os pares. Torna-se pois evidente que a investigação do processo
educativo deve conter uma dimensão relacional. A teoria da vinculação tem sido estudada e
aplicada em contexto educativo a nível internacional, mas em Portugal são pouco frequentes as
referências ao estudo desta relação. Pretendeu-se pois efetuar uma revisão da literatura
produzida em Portugal sobre a relação entre a vinculação e o processo educativo com o objetivo
de conhecer como tem sido investigada e quais foram os principais resultados dos estudos
realizados. Foi selecionado um conjunto de vinte referências cuja análise permite concluir que a
exploração desta temática em Portugal está ainda numa fase inicial, em que predominam os
estudos descritivos e correlacionais e ainda não são desenvolvidos trabalhos de natureza
experimental. São abordadas três conjuntos principais de questões de investigação: relativas à
qualidade da representações da vinculação desenvolvidas por diferentes atores do processo
educativo, ou por sujeitos com características específicas (associadas ao contexto educativo), e à
relação de tais representações com variáveis relacionadas com o processo educativo. Os
resultados alcançados corroboram a pertinência da compreensão da relação entre os processos
educativos e de vinculação para a intervenção psicológica e apontam direções para a
investigação futura.
The quality of the teacher-student relationship developed during the learning process is recognized as one of the main factors impacting students academic achievement, also as it is the influence of relations with parents/carers or peers; from this perspective research about educational processes should include a relational dimension. Attachment theory has been studied and applied in educational contexts in several countries, but in Portugal the research references about this relation are scarce. The aim of this work was to conduct a review of portuguese research about the relation between attachment and educational process in order to know how it has been studied and what were their main results. Twenty references were selected and through their analysis was concluded that the study of this specific theme is still in an initial phase, where the descriptive and correlational studies are dominant and are not conducted research with experimental designs. Three main research questions have been approached: about the quality of attachment representations developed by different subjects of the educational process, or by subjects with specific features (related with the educational context), and about the relation of attachment representations with different variables from the educational context. The results clearly confirm that to understand the relation between attachment and educational processes is determinant to psychological intervention and suggest directions for future research.
