Abstract(s)
Recognizing the importance of reflection in teaching practice, this report presents a description and reflection on the process of acquiring knowledge and skills in the development of pedagogical practices, to obtain a master’s degree in Pre-School Education and Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education. The Pedagogical Practices were carried out in different contexts, especially in Pre-School Education and in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, more specifically, in 1st and 4th grade classes. In this sense, the document is structured in two parts, the first being related to the theoretical and methodological assumptions that support the Pedagogical Practices, present in the second part. Considering the organization of the Portuguese educational system, the guiding documents for teaching practice and the teacher’s profile related to Pre-School Education and the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, pedagogical strategies based on constructivism were privileged, giving the child/student/ an active role in the teaching and learning process, so that in a cooperative work between the teacher and the learners, significant learning could be constructed. Therefore, project methodology, action research methodology, cooperative learning, game situations and didactic materials were used to promote learning. In all Pedagogical Practices, a project was carried out with the community, aiming at an integrated learning of knowledge, both at the curricular and social levels. Considering the importance of educational practices centered on learners, knowledge of their characteristics, formative assessment and reflection were great aids to meet educational needs and for the planning meaningful and contextualized learning moments. Therefore, this report is a sharing of experiences obtained in Pedagogical Practices with the aim of providing contextualized, meaningful and enriching learning moments to children/students. These experiences constitute learning for future teaching practice.
