Abstract(s)
narrativa e estratégias construtivistas-narrativas no tratamento deste fenómeno.
Link, Taylor and Francis, Web of Science e Science Direct.
complicado no território português.
Objective: Complicated grief is emotionally challenging and causes intense suffering, requiring multidimensional, specific, and tailored psychological interventions. This study aims to systematically review the literature on the contributions and efficacy of narrative therapy and constructivist-narrative strategies in treating this phenomenon. Method: An extensive search was conducted in the databases Google Scholar, B-On, PubMed, Springer Link, Taylor and Francis, Web of Science, and Science Direct. Studies published between 2000-2023 that met the predefined inclusion criteria were included. The quality of the studies was assessed according to the PRISMA Method. Results: Seventy-one studies demonstrated the effectiveness of narrative, constructivist-narrative, and cognitive-behavioral interventions in reconstructing meaning, integrating, and adjusting complicated grief to normal grief. There was a trend in the use of writing to achieve significant reductions in complicated grief symptoms. Main Conclusions: The use of narrative strategies is essential for elaborating, accepting, and reconstructing the loss, integrating death into the new reality, creating a new identity, and maintaining a continuous bond with the deceased. The results suggest benefits for clinical practice and the scientific community. More research is needed to explore the contributions of narrative therapy to complicated grief in Portugal.
