Abstract(s)
sucesso educativo do aluno.
Bonding and good school adjustment are two predictors that will enable the child to achieve a stable psych emotional development and consequently success at school. This study aims to verify if stable relationships in school context are a facilitator of a school adjustment even facing some adversities that may exist in the student’s educational path. It was used a sample of 106 participants, students from 3rd and 4th grade from two private schools in Funchal, Madeira Autonomous Region. It is an exploratory study where four questionnaires were applied – sociodemographic, scale to parents, peers and teachers (PIML), sociometrical test and the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ-Por). The results indicate that students who have a safe connection with parents tend to have a stronger link with peers and teachers and through this relationship with peers and teachers perceive fewer difficulties. Students regardless of their academic performance appear to be peer-to-peer and have higher values in their ability to report negative experiences to peers. The results allow us, above all, to verify that the relationship with peers and teachers is an important characteristic in the school context, as it allows students to develop a set of competences and a better adjustment and adaptation to the school context. There for, it is essential to promote the existence of a link between students and teachers in order to produce a good school adjustment and consequently the student's educational success.
