Abstract(s)
No âmbito do projeto-piloto “Ações inovadoras para a Prevenção e Gestão
de Riscos no Âmbito da Deteção de Incêndios em Zonas de Orografia Complexa
na Região Autónoma da Madeira” implementado pelo LREC (Laboratório Regional
de Engenharia Civil) e aprovado pelo POSEUR (Programa Operacional de
Sustentabilidade e Eficiência no Uso de Recursos), surge a “Proposta de
Conceção de uma Rede Backbone Comum ao SAARAM”. Esta proposta consiste
numa extensão da rede de comunicações já existente (SAARAM – Sistema de
Alerta de Aluviões da RAM) ligando a Ilha da Madeira de oeste a este (Calheta –
Funchal), com centralização da informação no LREC. Dado o historial de
incêndios na Madeira em especial na zona da Calheta, e sua orografia
particularmente complexa surgiu a necessidade de um sistema de prevenção e
deteção precoce de incêndios baseado em câmaras de vigilância para servir de
apoio às equipas móveis de combate aos incêndios para tornar este processo
mais rápido e eficiente.
Foi elaborada uma rede de telecomunicações de Feixes Hertzianos desde
o Funchal (LREC) até à Calheta, passando pelo Miradouro do Paredão, Pico Ruivo
do Paul e Cabeço da Pedreira, a funcionar à frequência de 5 GHz. Outros pontos
foram concebidos para vigiar a zona florestal crítica na Calheta, nomeadamente
os pontos situados no Loiral, Pico Gordo, Fonte do Bispo, Pico Alto da Ponta do
Pargo e Casa do Elias. Foi também proposta redundância à rede através da
ligação desta à já existente através do Miradouro do Paredão e ligação em fibra
ótica desde o Pico Ruivo do Paul à zona do Rosário, São Vicente.
Aquando da conclusão deste trabalho verificou-se que este sistema era
insuficiente para o objetivo pretendido, havendo deficiência na cobertura das
câmaras para os vales. Como complemento a este projeto foi proposto a
instalação de múltiplos sensores baseado na tecnologia emergente, IoT (Internet
of Things).
For the project “Innovative actions for the prevention and management of risks associated with fire detection in orographically complex areas in Madeira” implemented by LREC (Regional Laboratory for Civil Engineering) and approved by POSEUR (Operational Programme for Sustainability and Efficient Use of Resources), it is proposed the “Conception of a Backbone Network common to SAARAM”. This project consists in an extension for the already implemented network (SAARAM – Alluvial Alert System of Madeira) with the purpose of connecting Madeira from West to East (Calheta - Funchal) with his operating centre located in LREC. The historical data of fires in Madeira, especially in Calheta and with his complex orography it became necessary to create a system that could prevent and detect fires in early stages based on surveillance cameras to help firefighter units improve their response time and efficiency. It was elaborated a network of microwave radio relay links from Funchal (LREC) to Calheta going through, Miradouro do Paredão, Pico Ruivo do Paul and Cabeço da Pedreira operating in an 18 GHz frequency. Other points were created for the surveillance of Calheta, namely, Loiral, Pico Gordo, Fonte do Bispo, Pico Alto da Ponta do Pargo and Casa do Elias. It was also proposed redundancy using the already available networks through Miradouro do Paredão and a connection to optical fiber from Pico Ruivo do Paul to Rosário, São Vicente. We concluded that this system is not enough given the demand of this project due to the uncovered areas in the deepest valleys. As a complement it was proposed the use of multiple sensors based on the emergent IoT (Internet of Things).
