En la actualidad, el carácter autóno mo de las traducciones y el papel activo de los
traductores son principios que integran la mayoría
de discursos teóricos actuales sobre este tema.
Asimismo, la traducción de la literatura poscolo nial es uno de los campos que más ha desarrol lado estos principios, afirmando así la naturaleza
metonímica de estos textos. En el contexto de la
traducción intraeuropea de la literatura posimpe rial portuguesa, el traductor tiene a su alcance
múltiples herramientas metodológicas para evitar
caer en la domesticación del contexto cultural ob jeto de transposición. Comentaré aquí algunos de
estos recursos, apoyándome en ejemplos concre tos de la literatura portuguesa contemporánea y
sus traducciones al español y al francés.
Today, the autonomous character of translations and the active role of translators are values that integrate most current theoretical dis courses on this subject. Likewise, the translation of postcolonial literature is one of the fields that has most developed these ideas, thus affirming the metonymic nature of these particular texts. In the context of intra-European translation of Portu guese post-imperial literature, the translator has at his disposal multiple methodological tools to avoid falling into the domestication of the cultu ral context being transposed. I will comment here on some of these resources, relying on concrete examples of contemporary Portuguese literature and its translations into Spanish and French
