Abstract(s)
O presente estudo de investigação surge do nosso interesse em inquirirmos um grupo de
educadores e um outro de futuros educadores sobre as suas vivências com a Matemática, as suas
concepções sobre o papel do educador no desenvolvimento integral da criança, e as actividades do
domínio da Matemática registadas nas suas planificações.
Comparámos, também, os resultados apresentados referentes aos grupos mencionados
anteriormente, ou seja, entre os indivíduos que realizaram o seu percurso escolar em períodos que
distanciam entre si cinco anos, o que corresponde também à diferença de ter ou não ter experiência
profissional.
Este estudo tem um carácter essencialmente descritivo e é de uma natureza comparativa. Os dados
foram recolhidos através de entrevistas gravadas em registo áudio e análise documental.
Livings with mathematics: success and failure of two groups, one of nursery teachers and another of senior students of Nursery Teacher’s course of the University of Madeira The current study has to do with our interest in inquiring a group of nursery teachers and another group of future nursery teachers about their livings with mathematics, their conceptions about the role of nursery teachers in the whole development of the child, and the activities in the mathematics domain registered in their plannings. We also compared the present results referring to the mentioned groups, that is to say, among the individuals who realised their schooling course in periods that are five years of difference between them which also correspond to the difference between having or not having professional experience research. This study of research is essentially descriptive and of comparison nature. The data was collected through tape recording in interviews and documental analysis.
