A solução
The commissioning of Building Management Systems plays a fundamental role in ensuring the performance, safety, and operational efficiency of modern infrastructures. However, this process is traditionally carried out manually and repetitively, resulting in significant time consumption and a high susceptibility to human error, particularly in large-scale installations. This work describes the development and validation of a set of software tools, developed in Python, focused on the automation and digitalization of configuration and functional testing stages during the commissioning process. The implemented solution is based on three modular and versatile tools: an import tool, responsible for automating the creation of XML and TGML files for the EcoStruxure Building Operation software from an Excel planning file; a version comparison tool, designed to quickly identify changes between project revisions and ensure data integrity; and a testing tool, which enables direct communication with BACnet/IP devices. The latter enables the execution of limit validation tests, validation of device inputs and outputs, sequential tests, and real-time data monitoring, while also automatically generating PDF compliance reports. Additionally, the testing application was adapted to operate in a Linux environment, enabling its permanent installation in automation panels using a small, low-power device for remote diagnostics. Practical validation in real environments, carried out at the The Views Oásis, Alto Lido, and Baía Azul hotels, demonstrated the effectiveness of the testing tool in reducing the execution time of maintenance-related tasks and in detecting faults. This validation process also made it possible to identify issues in the first developed tool and implement further improvements. The developed system represents an efficient and low-cost solution for modernizing the sector, promoting test repeatability and improving the quality standard of the generated documentation.
