Abstract(s)
Typhlocibid leafhoppers are a group of phytophagous insects little known in the Ibe rian Peninsula. Until now only about seventy leafhopper species have been recorded. After the study of material collected mainly from the northwest of Spain, four new spe cies records belonging to the tribe Typhlocibini were found. Of those, two species are new to the Iberian Peninsula: Wagneripteryx germari (Zetterstedt, 1840) and Edward siana hippocastani (Edwards, 1888), the other two: Eupteryx filicum (Newman, 1853) and Eurhadina ribauti Wagner, 1935, are new records to Spain. For each species infor mation on distribution, biology and food plants is included.
