Abstract(s)
This report intends to reflect the work developed during the pedagogical internships carried out in the scope of the master’s Degree in Pre-School Education and Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education taught at the University of Madeira. In this regard, this report presents a theoretical and methodological framework, resulting from academic training and research, which served as a foundation for the pedagogical interventions carried out in the two educational valances: in the pre-school context with children of the age 3 and 4, and in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education with classes of the 1st and 3rd year of schooling. Regarding the first two pedagogical steps, these were based on the research-action methodology, having developed a capacity to investigate and reflect on a teaching practice, with the aim of improving it. In this way, an attempt was made to respond the following research questions: "How to promote fine motor development in the children of the Butterfly Room?" and "How to promote a taste for reading in the 1st A class of Salesianos Funchal Colégio?" Concerning the last pedagogical practice, the focus was didactics and the pedagogical strategies implemented in the exploration of the programmatic contents, namely in subjects such as Portuguese, Mathematics and Sciences. Throughout the pedagogical act, the primary aim was to always promote active, meaningful and contextualized learning, assuming a reflexive, investigative and conscious attitude that the child should be the center of their own teaching-learning process.
