Abstract(s)
A Psicologia Positiva
e desempenho escolar. A intervenção parental demonstrou satisfação generalizada pelas
Well-being is a determining factor in the human growth process, being a good predictor of several variables such as better physical and mental health, more satisfactory relationships, more creative thinking and the acquisition of better learning. Positive Psychology as a preventive approach has led Educational Psychology to become interested in the benefits of promoting well-being in an educational context. This investigation aimed to implement a Positive Education program with 2nd and 3rd cycle students, and to assess its impact on students' well-being, emotional and behavioral regulation, and academic performance. Simultaneously, a Parental Education program was implemented with five mothers, which offered them the opportunity to improve their educational skills. Interest, degree of satisfaction and effectiveness/impact regarding this intervention were analyzed. The results indicate that the intervention promoted more positive emotions in students, acquisition of greater clarity in their feelings, emotions and emotional repair. There was also an improvement in concentration, self-control, autonomy, motivation to study and school performance. Parental intervention showed widespread satisfaction with learning, changes and more positive relationships with their children.
