Abstract(s)
When it comes to the cinematographic industry, people have come to expect large 3D productions with ground breaking techniques for motion capture and very high costs from the required software. Currently, the consumer segment has access to some motion capture systems as well as software packages for 3D motion capture at very competitive prices. On this project, this equipment and software are used to produce a 3D animation video, specifically, a trailer for the game “Keepers of Intheris”. Following the standard production pipeline, there are three main stages in this project. In pre-production, the entire project was idealized, planned and the story was written. This was followed by the creation of the storyboard and then, the concepts were designed. During the production stage, all concepts were modelled and textured. During this stage, characters were also rigged and animated before being placed on the set/scenes after which, visual effects were added. On the last stage of the pipeline, post-production, 2D visual effects were added, the video was edited and sound was added to the video. The result of this project’s production was the trailer for the game Keepers of Intheris. This project follows a pipeline that is useful for anyone who wants to produce any type of video or 3D animation at a low cost when compared to the current solutions of the cinematographic industry
