Abstract(s)
trabalho.
For the debate on identity in the Imperial Period and the Second Sophistry, Plutarch’s Lives and Moral Treaties play a key role. The focus on characters from different periods in the literary production is a complex topic, even because the boundaries between peoples and cultures are increasingly blurred. How Plutarch (re)defines the identity of the citizen of the Empire, in a wide space of cultural dialogue, made up of differences and similarities, is the theme of our paper.
