Abstract(s)
A presente investigação subordinada ao tema: A liderança do mediador pessoal e social na inclusão escolar dos reclusos abordou a temática da mediação dos Cursos de Educação e Formação de Adultos (Cursos EFA) num estabelecimento prisional no sentido de compreender a liderança do mediador pessoal neste contexto específico. A investigação decorreu num estabelecimento prisional português e os sujeitos de investigação foram os mediadores pessoais e sociais destes cursos e os respetivos formandos.
De modo a compreendermos as diversas contribuições e perspetivas das temáticas adjacentes ao estudo, efetuámos um levantamento bibliográfico suportado por referenciais teóricos.
Nesta investigação empregámos uma metodologia de cariz qualitativo remetendo para um estudo de caso, facultando-nos uma visão abrangente do fenómeno estudado.
Os instrumentos utilizados para recolher os dados imprescindíveis deste estudo foram os inquéritos por questionário e as entrevistas. Realizámos uma pesquisa documental, bibliográfica e legislativa com o intuito de contextualizarmos a temática em estudo.
Os resultados da investigação sugerem que, para a maioria dos formandos dos Cursos EFA do estabelecimento prisional em estudo, o papel dos mediadores pessoais e sociais é importante, já que, além de serem o elo de ligação entre os diversos intervenientes do processo educativo motivam e auxiliam e os formandos no seu reingresso ao sistema de ensino e desenvolvem atitudes no sentido destes permanecerem e concluírem o ciclo de estudo.
This research study about “the leadership of the social and personal mediators in school inclusion of prisoners” approached the issue of mediation in the adult education and training courses in the context of a penitentiary. The fundamental justification for this study was to understand the leadership of the mediator personnel in this specific context. The empirical research took place in a Portuguese prison and the subjects of research were social and personal mediators of these courses and their trainees. In order to understand the various contributions and perspectives of the adjacent issues to the study, we did a literature review supported by different theoretical frameworks. In this research, we employed a methodology of qualitative nature, referring to a case study, providing us with a comprehensive view of the studied phenomenon. The instruments used to collect the data needed in this study were surveys and semi structured interviews. We also did documentary research literature and legislation review with the aim of contextualizing the topic under study. The results of this research suggests that, for most trainees of the adult education and training courses, the role of the social and personal mediators is important, since, in addition to being the link between the various actors of the educational process, they motivate and assist the trainees in their returning to the educational system and develop attitudes in order to remain in school and complete their cycle of study.
