O presente relatório recolhe de uma forma resumida várias das especialidades técnicas e parâmetros utilizados para o dimensionamento da Plataforma Ferroviária do Projeto Rancagua Xpress, com um comprimento aproximado de 22 Km entre Santiago e a população de Nos, no Município de San Bernardo, da Região Metropolitana e de mais 60 Km até a Cidade de Rancagua, no Município do mesmo nome, na VI Região.
O referido Projeto consta da ampliação da Plataforma Ferroviária, de duas vias para quatro vias, até a população de Nos. Dentro da ampliação são também consideradas entre as principais obras, as novas estações de passageiros, passagens pedonais desniveladas, passagens de veículos desniveladas, parque de material e oficinas, e vedações ao longo de todo o traçado para impedir a passagem de pessoas e animais.
A intervenção permite uma considerável melhoria nas condições de segurança do serviço, pois as passagens de pessoas e veículos eram realizadas ao nível da via. Estas passagens em alguns casos careciam de alertas como barreiras ou alarmes que anunciam as aproximações dos comboios.
O relatório também recolhe alguns dos aspetos considerados de interesse durante as obras, como foram a execução das camadas de aterro das vias e a execução de estacas de fundação escavadas manualmente.
Como acontece em muitos projetos de infraestrutura as soluções propostas durante a fase de projeto são alteradas por propostas da empresa de Construção, sejam por motivos económicos ou pela facilidade de construção, com uma prévia aprovação do cliente. No presente relatório são descritas as principais modificações.
Finalmente faz-se uma resenha das dificuldades que atravessou a construção das obras devido ao descontentamento social de alguns grupos populacionais.
This report collects in a summarized manner many of the technical specialties and the parameters used for the design of the railway platform of the Rancagua Xpress project, with an approximate length of 22 Km between Santiago and the Town of Nos, in the Municipality of San Bernardo, from the metropolitan Region and more 60 Km to the City of Rancagua, in the Municipality of the same name, in the VI Region. This project consists of an expansion of the two-way rail platform to the town of Nos. Within the expansion are also considered among the main works, the new passenger stations, pedestrian passages to the unlevel, passages of vehicles to unlevel, park of material and workshops, and seals along the entire tracing to prevent the passage of people and animals. The intervention allows a considerable improvement in the safety conditions of the service, because the passages of people and vehicles were carried out at the level of the road. These passages in some cases lacked alerts such as barriers or alarms that announce the approximations of trains. The report also collects some of the aspects considered of interest during the works, as were the execution of the embankment layers of the railway and the execution of foundation cuttings excavated manually. As in many infrastructure projects, the solutions proposed during the project phase are changed by the construction company's proposals, whether for economic reasons or for the ease of construction, with a prior approval from the client. The main modifications are described in this report. Finally, there is a review of the difficulties that have crossed the construction of works due to the social disruption of some population groups.
