Abstract(s)
importância do papel do professor. A literatura (Estrada, 2013) aborda a importância e
et al., 2020) e a Escala do Bem-Estar Experiencial (Garcês et al., 2022).
Education plays an important role in training young people and in acquiring relevant knowledge to face the demands of the modern world, which highlights the importance of the teacher’s role. The literature (Estrada, 2013) addresses the importance and effectiveness of different teaching methods in the students' learning process, but it’s essential to explore and study the choice of these methods and see if there are variables that influence them, so the main objective of this study is to study the importance of the creative personality and well-being of teachers in the teaching methodologies used by them in different education levels. The sample consisted of 329 teachers distributed across mainland Portugal and the Islands, with an overall average age of 48.67 years old. The instruments applied were the Sociodemographic Questionnaire of Teaching Methods, the Creative Personality Scale – Short Version (Pocinho et al., 2020) and the Experiential Well-Being Scale (Garcês et al., 2022). The results showed that creativity has a significant positive relationship with well-being, with the active/interrogative method and the demonstrative method and a negative relationship, although isn’t significant, with the expository method. Well-being establishes a significant positive relationship with the active/interrogative method and the demonstrative method and a significant negative relationship with the expository method.
