Romanceiro da Terra Morta, de José Viale Moutinho, permitir-nos-á ver a forma como
neste repositório o autor recria cartografias da dissonância, reavivando, por um exí mio exercício da memória, a diversidade cultural, patrimonial e identitária do mundo
português. Numa sociedade subordinada à distopia como a que marcou o tempo da
velha senhora em Portugal, muitas estórias recriadas pela capacidade efabulatória do
escritor captam um manancial diverso e rico de situações, gentes e lugares, recuperando,
assim, um legado distópico de uma época que não deve ser novamente tolerada. Ao fixar
estes registos no seu Romanceiro, José Viale Moutinho retém cenários que gerações do
pós-memória não devem consentir. Trata-se, pois, de uma escrita que roça a utopia pela
veia denunciadora das disforias pretéritas.
Romanceiro da Terra Morta (Romance of the Dead Land), by José Viale Moutinho, will enable us to see how in this repository the author recreates mappings of dissonance by reviving, through an absolute memory exercise, the cultural, patrimonial and identity diversity of the Portuguese world. In a society subordinated to dystopia, such as the one that marked the era of dictatorship in Portugal, many stories recreated by the writer’s affabulation capacity capture a diverse and rich source of situations,peoples and places, thus recovering a dystopian legacy of an era that must never be tolerated again. By recording these entries in his Romanceiro, José Viale Moutinho retains scenarios that post-memory generations should not consent to. It is, therefore, writing that touches utopia through the denouncing vein of bygone dysphoria.
