A nossa reflexão sobre a memória na ficção de Tatiana Salem Levy e Gonçalo M. Tavares incide sobre o processo de anamnese que é a busca activa de significação. Trazer de novo à memória é um acto de construção identitária e uma afirmação da resistência face ao peso do esquecimento. Ambos os escritores realizam um trabalho de busca da memória, um exercício de releitura do presente em direcção ao passado para o redimensionar numa perspectiva de reapropriação.
The author’s reflection on memory in the fiction of Tatiana Salem Levy and Gonçalo M. Tavares focusses on the process of anamnesis, i.e. an active search for meaning. To bring something back to one’s memory is an act of identity building and a statement of resistance against the weight of oblivion. Both writers perform work in search of memory, a rereading exercise of the present towards the past so as to resize the past through a reappropriation perspective.
