Abstract(s)
A competência emocional baseia-se na manifestação da autoeficácia em que o
sujeito crê ter capacidades fundamentais para alcançar um determinado resultado nas
interações interpessoais em que envolvem emoções. Sendo o défice de competências
emocionais, sociais e cognições fatores para a delinquência, é indispensável a existência
de programas de intervenção que permitem treinar o sujeito de modo a dotá-lo de
competências fundamentais para a sua vida, a nível social, emocional, e relacional.
Assim, a presente investigação apresenta como principais objetivos compreender se o
programa Gerar Percursos Sociais tem impacto no aumento ou na promoção do
desenvolvimento das competências socio emocionais assim como perceber a
importância que os tipos de personalidade poderão ou não possuir na competência socio
emocional dos indivíduos. Foi adotada uma metodologia quantitativa de natureza quasi
experimental, a uma amostra de 9 reclusos do Estabelecimento Prisional do Funchal,
com idades compreendidas entre os 28 e 58 anos, (M = 36.44; D.P = 8,77). Os dados
foram obtidos através da aplicação de um questionário sócio demográfico, da
Multifactorial Emotional Intelligence Scale (MEIS), e do NEO-Five Factor Inventory
(NEO-FFI), tendo sido analisados posteriormente através do Programa IBM SPSS
(versão 23.0). Os dados obtidos revelam aspetos curiosos que sugerem um efeito
favorável do programa em algumas competências emocionais dos reclusos. Conclui-se
que a existência de programas de intervenção podem de facto dotar o indivíduo de
competências fundamentais para a sua vida.

As the deficit of emotional skills, social and cognitions factors for delinquency, it is essential the existence of intervention programs that allow you to train the subject to provide it with essential skills for is life, social level, emotional, and relational. Thus, this research has as main objective to understand if the Gerar Percursos Sociais program has an impact on increasing or promoting the development of emotional and social skills as well as realize the importance that personality types may or may not have in the social emotional competence of individuals. A quantitative methodology of nature quasi-experimental was adopted, to a sample of 9 inmates of the Prison of Funchal, aged between 28 and 58 years (M = 36.44; SD = 8.77). Data were obtained through the application of a demographic questionnaire, the Multifactorial Emotional Intelligence Scale (MEIS), and NEO Five-Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI), was subsequently analyzed using the IBM SPSS program (version 23.0). The data reveal curious aspects that suggest a positive effect of the program in some emotional skills of prisoners. It is concluded that the existence of intervention programs can indeed provide the individual core competencies for your life.
