In this study, the importance of resilience in hospitality entrepreneurship was addressed, based on lessons learned from failure and practices that led to organizational success. Accordingly, the objectives of this study were to identify management practices and strategies that promote resilience in the hospitality sector, to analyze the role of failure as a source of learning, to examine the influence of entrepreneurship and leadership in creating resilient organizational cultures and to develop practice-based recommendations aimed at strengthening the organizational resilience of hospitality companies. Regarding the methodological approach, a quantitative methodology was adopted with the purpose of analyzing resilience in hospitality entrepreneurship, both at the organizational and individual levels. Consequently, a questionnaire was developed using a Likert scale to assess variables such as communication, adaptability and leadership, targeting professionals in the hospitality sector. The collected data will be analyzed to identify patterns and connections among resilient practices, with emphasis on the fact that the questionnaire was directed to all 4 and 5-star hospitality units (hotels and resorts) in Portugal (mainland and autonomous regions). After analyzing the data obtained from the questionnaire provided to the hospitality units, it was found that more than 50% of participants considered aspects such as internal communication, adaptability, effective leadership, emotional stability and an entrepreneurial mindset, among others, as essential not only for the organizational success of the company but also for the individual success of the leader and their collaborators.
