Abstract(s)
O crescimento global da população envelhecida destaca a urgência de abordagens
inovadoras no tratamento e bem-estar dessa faixa etária, especialmente para aqueles que são
afetados por doenças neurodegenerativas, como a Alzheimer ou a Demência. A Terapia de
Reminiscência emerge como uma abordagem inovadora e com resultados positivos no tratamento
de doenças neurodegenerativas, proporcionando não só conforto psicológico, mas também
contribuindo para a melhoria da qualidade de vida daqueles que enfrentam desafios relacionados
com a saúde cognitiva.
A integração da tecnologia na terapia de reminiscência contribui de forma positiva no modo
como são abordados os tratamentos de distúrbios cognitivos associados ao envelhecimento.
Ferramentas digitais e plataformas interativas oferecem oportunidades únicas para enriquecer e
personalizar as intervenções terapêuticas, permitindo a obtenção de melhores resultados clínicos.
De igual forma, o contexto educacional também enfrenta desafios relacionados com as
dificuldades de aprendizagem dos alunos. Neste contexto, a tecnologia tem-se mostrado uma
aliada importante no processo de aprendizagem, oferecendo soluções personalizadas que
permitem ajudar a superar essas barreiras. Ferramentas digitais, como plataformas de
aprendizagem interativas, jogos educacionais e sistemas de feedback em tempo real, têm o
potencial de criar ambientes de aprendizagem mais inclusivos e acessíveis. Deste modo, estas
ferramentas podem ser igualmente valiosas no âmbito educativo, apoiando educadores e
professores na criação de atividades interativas e personalizadas para promover a aprendizagem
e o desenvolvimento cognitivo em diferentes faixas etárias.
É com base nestes fatores que surge a ferramenta MusiCam, desenvolvida no âmbito do
projeto Musiquence Technologies, e que pretende facilitar os profissionais da área da psicologia
e educação na criação de atividades personalizadas no seu contexto de trabalho. O MusiCam
permite aos utilizadores capturar momentos únicos dos pacientes e alunos, e integrá-los de forma
inovadora nas intervenções de estimulação cognitiva. Desta forma, esta tecnologia permite apoiar
os psicólogos e educadores na criação de atividades de avaliação cognitiva com um nível de
personalização maior para cada tipo de paciente e aluno.
Este trabalho pretende contribuir para a evolução do campo da terapia de reminiscência e
da educação, destacando o papel vital da tecnologia na melhoria do tratamento de doenças
neurodegenerativas e no apoio à aprendizagem, promovendo uma abordagem inovadora e
acessível para os seus utilizadores.
The global growth of the senior population emphasizes the urgency of developing innovative approaches to the care and well-being of this demographic, especially those affected by neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Reminiscence Therapy emerges as an innovative approach with proven positive outcomes in treating neurodegenerative diseases, like improving the quality of life of those facing cognitive health challenges, offering psychological comfort. Technology integration into reminiscence therapy has positively transformed how cognitive disorders associated with ageing are addressed. Digital tools and interactive platforms offer unique opportunities to enhance and personalize therapeutic interventions, contributing to better clinical outcomes. Furthermore, these tools can also be valuable in the educational field, supporting educators and teachers in creating interactive and personalized activities to promote learning and cognitive development across different age groups. The educational field also faces significant challenges, related to students’ learning difficulties. In this context, technology has proven to be an important ally in the learning process, offering personalized solutions that help overcome these barriers. Digital tools, such as interactive learning platforms, educational games, and real-time feedback systems, have the potential to create more inclusive and accessible learning environments. As such, these tools can also be valuable in the educational field, supporting educators and teachers in creating interactive and personalized activities to promote learning and cognitive development across different age groups.
