Abstract(s)
Este trabalho, de revisão bibliográfica, pretende ser uma
reflexão sobre a missão do professor universitário numa
lógica que ultrapassa o ensino, a pesquisa e a extensão, mas que não
pode compreender a sua primeira missão sem essas três dimensões.
Refiro-me à reflexão. Reflexão como fundamento ato de liberdade que
se aprende pelo exemplo, ato que é fundamentado na investigação e
que se partilha para lá dos nossos muros intelectuais. Neste sentido, este
texto é essencialmente uma análise à visão do professor universitário
como intelectual e cientista, mas também como homem de ação. Ou seja,
é meu objetivo fixar a reflexão na formação filosófica, que é também
científica e pedagógica, dos professores universitários, admitindo-se,
à partida, que educar e supervisionar são atos filosóficos. Mais: que
a educação não é um terreno recortado na geografia das disciplinas.
Neste sentido a pergunta aparece: quais os fins da educação? O espírito
dos homens não lhes é dado como é preciso e deve ser reformado.
É este um dos trabalhos da supervisão pedagógica: mostrar que o
espírito é possível. A procura assenta no rompimento com o ponto
de vista natural. Por isso, assenta aqui o método hermenêutico, acima
dele, o uso da maiêutica tanto como método como fim. Os resultados e
conclusões deste trabalho dependerão, exclusivamente, da apropriação
que o leitor faça deste texto.
This work intends to be a reflection on the university professor’s mission in a logic that goes beyond teaching, research and extension, but which cannot understand his first mission without these three dimensions. I mean reflection. Reflection as a foundation act of freedom that is learned by example, an act that is based on research and that is shared beyond our intellectual walls. In this sense, this text is essentially an analysis of the view of the university professor as an intellectual and scientist, but also as a man of action. In other words, it is my objective to fix the reflection on the philosophical formation, which is also scientific and pedagogical, of university professors, admitting, from the outset, that educating and supervising are philosophical acts. More: that education is not a cut-off terrain in the geography of disciplines. In this sense, the question appears: what are the purposes of education? The minds of men are not given to them as they need and must be reformed. This is one of the jobs of pedagogical supervision: to show that spirit is possible. The search is based on breaking with the natural point of view. Therefore, the hermeneutic method is based here, above it, the use of maieutic both as a method and as an end. The results and conclusions of this work will depend exclusively on the appropriation that the reader makes of this text.
