Abstract(s)
Subsiste uma grande unanimidade entre a comunidade científica em relação às
alterações ambientais globais, sendo que estas estão a assumir-se mais rapidamente do que o
calculado, proveniência do comportamento e das decisões humanas. Neste contexto, devemos
considerar as ameaças ao meio ambiente e à saúde física, mas também, à saúde mental e ao
bem-estar. Concedendo especial enfoque na necessidade de envolver a educação ambiental
nos contextos social, económico e político de forma a atingir práticas sustentáveis.
A Psicologia poderá contribuir para a promoção de respostas mais responsáveis em
termos ambientais, de modo a que os indivíduos possam melhor adaptar-se às alterações
ambientais e para o desenvolvimento sustentável. Este estudo pretende analisar as relações
entre o comportamento pró-ambiental, e o bem-estar no contexto educativo, incluindo-se a
análise da influência do género, da idade e do nível educacional. Trata-se de um estudo
quantitativo correlacional, que utiliza uma amostra aleatória. Os dados foram recolhidos
através das redes sociais e correio eletrónico, através de uma amostra de 326 participantes. Os
resultados indicam que variáveis como a idade e o nível de educação têm uma relação ao
nível do comportamento pró-ambiental, assim como, o bem-estar poderá relacionar-se com o
comportamento pró-ambiental, na amostra em estudo, sendo que não encontramos diferenças
entre o género.
There is great unanimity among the scientific community regarding global environmental changes, which are taking place more quickly than calculated, due to human behaviour and decisions. In this context, we must consider threats to the environment and physical health, but also to mental health and well-being. Giving important focus on the need to involve environmental education in social, economic and political contexts to achieve sustainable practices. Psychology can contribute to the promotion of more responsible responses in environmental terms so that individuals can better adapt to environmental changes and for sustainable development. This study aims to analyse the relationships between pro-environmental behaviour and wellbeing in education contexts, including an analysis of the influence of the educational level, age and gender. This is a correlational quantitative study using a random sample. Data was collected through social networks and email, and a sample of 326 subjects obtained. The results indicate that variables such as age and level of education have a relationship with the level of pro-environmental behaviour, as well as, well-being may be related to pro-environmental behavior, in the sample under study. No gender differences were found.
