Resumo
O Ensino das Ciências, à semelhança de outras áreas educativas, tem de se adap tar às novas vivências e exigências sociais. Associada a esta preocupação surge, indu bitavelmente, a palavra literacia. Esta tem sido apresentada como uma proposta de
melhoria da educação, impelindo ao desenvolvimento de práticas educativas condu centes à melhoria das aprendizagens. No entanto, para promover o ensino na litera cia científica é necessário revisitar conceitos básicos relativos à didática, esclarecendo
as seguintes questões: COMO ensinar, aprender e melhorar o Ensino das Ciências
Science Education, like other educational areas, has to adapt to new experiences and social demands. Associated with this concern, there is undoubtedly the word lit eracy. This has been presented as a proposal to improve education, driving the devel opment of educational practices leading to the improvement of learning. However, to promote scientific literacy, it is necessary to revisit basic concepts related to didactics, clarifying several questions as: HOW to teach, learn and improve Science Teaching.
