Abstract(s)

No processo de desenvolvimento da transição educativa a nível pedagógico da Educação Pré-Escolar para o 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, a aprendizagem assume uma posição central. Pretende-se, assim, estabelecer uma correlação entre a filosofia de Paulo Freire com os contributos da Pedagogia, da Psicologia e das Neurociências. Destacam-se algumas afirmações comuns a considerar no desenvolvimento da aprendizagem dos alunos: (1) A emoção interfere no processo de retenção de in formação; (2) É preciso motivação para aprender; (3) A atenção é fundamental na aprendizagem; (4) O cérebro modifica-se em contato com o meio durante toda a vida; (5) A formação da memória é mais efetiva quando a nova informação é asso ciada a um conhecimento prévio.

It is intended, therefore, to establish a correlation between Paulo Freire’s philos ophy and the contributions of Pedagogy, Psychology and Neurosciences. We highlight some common statements to consider in the development of stu dents’ learning: (1) Emotion interferes with the information retention process; (2) It takes motivation to learn; (3) Attention is fundamental in learning; (4) The brain changes in contact with the environment throughout life; (5) The formation of mem ory is more effective when the new information is associated with prior knowledge.
