Abstract(s)
Paulo Freire brinda-nos com a convicção de que as dimensões Pedagogia, Ação, Liberdade e
Desenvolvimento Humano encontram condições para se conjugarem e consubstanciarem na
existência humana, no desígnio de que, através delas e por elas, a resposta ao desenvolvimento dos
anseios mais prementes e genuínos sobrevenha, se consolide e perpetue na vida das pessoas, dos
povos e das sociedades. E, porque a história da humanidade, a nossa história, aponta para a
descoberta de que o homem tem o dever moral de buscar uma felicidade razoável e de combater a
violência, é preciso encontrar um sentido para a vida, nesta vida, nesta comunidade, neste
momento histórico em que existimos e cuja moral deve ser objeto do nosso julgamento e da nossa
compreensão. Daqui renasce a relevância e a atualidade do legado de Paulo Freire, inspiração
imanente de gerações e gerações de pedagogos, irmanados na sublime tarefa de educar com
alegria, dedicação e proatividade.
Paulo Freire offers us the conviction that the dimensions of Pedagogy, Action, Freedom and Human Development find conditions to combine and to consubstantiate in human existence with the intention that through them and because of them the answer to the development of the most urgent and genuine desires will occur, that will be consolidate and will perpetuate in individuals’ life and in societies. And, because the humankind history, our history, points to the finding that humans have the moral duty to seek reasonable happiness and to fight violence, it is necessary to find meaning in life, in this life, in this community, at this historical moment in which we exist and whose morals must be the object of our judgment and our understanding. From this, it reborn the relevance and the actuality of Paulo Freire's legacy, as immanent inspiration of generations and generations of pedagogues, united in the sublime task of educating with joy, dedication, and proactivity.
