Abstract(s)
This should be a time when, thanks to economical flows and the strength of social networks, political, cultural and territorial frontiers should be blurred in a communion of experiences and humanity. However, as is often the case in times of crisis, not only do these borders tend to become more pronounced, they also dematerialize and become embedded in the human spirit. The first frontier, and the one that sustains all the others, is there in our mind. This is where we must start our fight. In our consciousness. The one who migrates, does it in the hope of finding a better life. That should be enough for us. But when that’s not enough we have another weapon: education. Only through it can the integration and prevention of radicalization be guaranteed. It’s not possible at this time in Europe to talk about migration and exclude security. Also because there is a growing number of radicalized youths with a confirmed role in violent extremism.
