A ideia de que o pensamento e o discurso são condições necessárias para a mu dança dos esquemas e estruturas sociais trazem consigo a exigência da Educação
para a Liberdade.
Uma Educação que compreenda o Discurso como ação sobre o mundo, isto é, atri buir à Filosofia o lugar que lhe é devido. Esse lugar não é de ser chefe de governo, ou
o Rei-Filósofo de Platão, mas o de ser educador pela discussão e pelo diálogo.
Numa altura de grandes crises, em que a Filosofia está moribunda por força das
redes sociais e do pensamento inócuo dos media, como resgatar as inquietações
[que serão] “sempre […] a resposta a tais crises [?]. […]. O mundo pode existir sem
filósofos, mas porque não, pode também existir sem homens!” (Gadotti, 1980, p.29).
Assim, o grande desafio é a execução dos ensinamentos da ideia da crítica e da li berdade num mundo que se deixa escorregar numa aparente ausência de conflito
e de sentido.
The idea that thought and discourse are necessary conditions to change social structures and schemes brings with it the requirement of Education for Freedom. An Education that understands Discourse as an action on the world, that is, to attribute to Philosophy the place it is due. This place is not to be the head of gov ernment, or the philosopher king of Plato, but to be an educator through discus sion and dialogue. In crises time, in which Philosophy is dying due to social networks and innocu ous thinking in the media, how to rescue the concerns [which will be] “always [...] the answer to such crises [?]. […]. The world can exist without philosophers, but why not, it can also exist without men!” (Gadotti, 1980, p.29). Thus, the great chal lenge is to implement the idea of criticism and freedom in a world that lets itself slip in an apparent absence of conflict and meaning.
