Abstract(s)
A qualidade do ensino está dependente de uma interação constante entre o pro fessor e o aluno. Inúmeras investigações estudam a excelência no ensino centran do-se no perfil de competências do professor, mas convém salientar que, indepen dentemente das características que lhe sejam reconhecidas, este deverá ter como
premissa fundamental da sua atuação, a transformação social do aluno, levando-o
a problematizar, pesquisar e refletir permanentemente.
Tal como preconizado por Freire (2002), o ato educativo só ganha significado
quando o professor caminha lado a lado com o aluno, respeitando a sua autonomia
e identidade.
The quality of teaching is dependent on a constant interaction between the teacher and the student. Numerous investigations study excellence in teaching focusing on the profile of the teacher’s competences, but it should be noted that, regardless of the char acteristics that are recognized, it should have as a fundamental premise of its performance, the social transformation of the student, leading him problematize, research and reflect permanently. As recommended by Freire (2002), the educational act only gains meaning when the teacher walks side by side with the student, respecting their autonomy and identity.
